In version 6.13 Versaworks added a handy tool that enables you to quickly create a job file with multiple colour settings or quality settings. You then print the one file with the various jobs to make side by side assessment of the settings.
First step is the obvious one, you will need to install the latest version of Versaworks! Head to https://downloadcenter.rolanddg.com/VersaWorks6
to get the latest version.
Once installed then you will need to load a file to test with. Then right mouse click on the job file and select Generate Variation Job from the list.
You will then have three choices available depending on what you are looking to compare.
In the Quality Settings you will select the media type and then the different print qualities. You can select multiple options on each screen if desired.
Click through the screens to generate the print job file (as on the right) When you print the job it will use the different settings on each copy and print the details on the print out.
The second option is Colour Management
Again, you can select multiple options to compare and when you print it each one will be labelled for comparison.
The last one to look at is Colour adjustment.
There are two options to compare under this tabPrint Variation with multiple colours, or one colour and density for that colour. As with the first two options the variation job is printed with the data for reference once printed.
