Epson LFP Accounting Tool
The LFP accounting tool allows you to accurately cost jobs using data pulled from the printer. You can see exactly how much of each ink is used for a print. If you input your media & ink costs it will also give you a detailed job report, see below image.
The above data was from an A3+ print on Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper, it was a landscape photo and was a borderless print. We have referenced in other articles that ink usage in printing world is roughly 1-2ml per A4 print full coverage. In our testing we found the P906 came in at 0.7ml over a range of 31 A4 full photo prints. From the data above the A3+ used 1.83ml of ink, if we do some boring maths, it works out to 0.69ml for an A4 in this case which lines up with our other testing.
You can download the Epson LFP Accounting tool from Epson’s website; www.epson.com.au
Please note that it is not available for all Epson printers. To see if it is available for your printer, navigate to your printer on Epson’s website, and then go to the download tab. If it is available, it will show in the download section. Installation is simply double-click the downloaded file and follow the screen prompts.
